A tiny fishing village amidst the ruins of ancient civilizations, the look and feel of Dagon Fel is like no other, with calls of adventure on every side, and it is the only majority Nordic-populated village on Vvardenfell. Given its rich and unique location, Dagon Fel has often been a popular target for city overhauls, and today, for our Mods of the Day, we're taking a look at three of those mods, including Nordic Dagon Fel and Nordic Dagon Fel NPCs by RandomPal and Dagon Fel Redone by Markond. Each of these three mods seeks to enhance the Nordic qualities of Dagon Fel in different ways, enhancing or replacing the natural Nordic architecture in Dagon Fel, and replacing the interiors and furnishings with new Nordic variants. They're very different, yet very similar mods, and they're all worth checking out, though which one would look best in your game is entirely up to you. The cantons of Vivec, the largest "city" in Morrowind, but for all their grand size and scope, the actual exterior of this major metropolis often feels a bit lifeless. Enter today's Mod of the Day, which today is Bustling Vivec by Ashstaar, a simply gorgeous and atmospheric city overhaul for Vivec that aims to make the city feel more alive, by adding in lots of new clutter, detailing, and NPCs. Now you'll find outdoor markets, cafes, bakeries, and various merchants hawking their wares along the walkways and streets of Vivec, as well as immersive and scenic new additions, like graffiti, cargo containers, and lots and lots of new banners. Each canton has been given a bit of unique detailing, so each one feels a bit more distinct, and the temple, in particular, has seen a gorgeous makeover, with a number of new statues, shrines, and banners to give it a more epic-looking feel. All in all, there are a lot of Vivec overhauls out there, but this one provides a fairly lightweight alternative that still manages to look absolutely amazing, and provides a huge improvement for the city! The first dungeon you're likely to come across in Morrowind, the smuggler's cave of Addamasartus has long been a target of various modded overhauls, and today we're adding one more to that list with our Mod of the Day, which today is Vennin's Addamasartus Overhaul by Vennin. While most overhauls in the past have opted to detail or clutter the vanilla cavern layout of Addamasartus, Vennin's Overhaul instead rebuilds the cavern completely from scratch, using assets from OAAB Data to create a more natural and organic-looking cavern design. The result is a simply beautiful cavern that manages to recreate much the same layout as the vanilla dungeon, only adding in a wee bit more loot here and there to spice things up. If you're looking to spice up Morrowind's first dungeon for your next playthrough, this is definitely a neat mod worthy of your attention! Morrowind has been out for over 12 years now, but the Morrowind Modding scene has never truly died down, with many modders continuously uploading new mods all the time. The purpose of this series is to increase the visibility of the mods showcased, to increase the visibility of the Morrowind Modding Community, and to promote discussion of Morrowind mods and help people discover mods they didn't know about before. Episode seven is again a rather long episode (we'll try to keep it shorter next time!), though we do have another 13 mods all told in this episode, with a full ten of them featuring quests of one kind or another. Our ultimate goal for these videos is to increase the visibility of showcased mods, and by extension the visibility of Morrowind modding in general! Since our last showcase for the Abecean Isles back in 2019, the project has undergone a significant amount of progress, with lots of new exterior development for the Ogre Tooth Mountains, the Longa Do-Ragai wilds, and the village of Saintsport. The project has also seen a fair amount of new development with regards to interiors and quests, though Stros M'Kai itself is still far from a public release-worthy state. Currently, the Abecean Isles team is looking for new members, particularly concept artists and assets developers, so if you'd like to help out with this one of a kind and unique province mod, stop by the discord server today! One of the biggest landscape overhaul mods to be released this year, Sheogorad - Groves of the North By Tapetenklaus utterly transforms the northern most region of Vvardenfell, turning it into a true blend of the more arctic climates of Solstheim and the volcanic climate of Vvardenfell. With a mixture of pine tree forests and giant, occasionally ice-covered mushrooms, the Sheogorad is now a truly unique region, with dynamic and awe-inspiring terrain that includes rocky peaks and coastline cliffs to give the Sheogorad a dramatic backdrop. With this overhaul, you'll even find new dungeons to explore and fight through, new locations to visit, and overhauls of familiar landmarks like Dagon Fel and the Sanctus Shrine. With support for other popular mods, like Redaynia Restored and Remiros' Groundcover, this is an amazing landscape mod that's well worth adding to your game! Menu: City of Port Hunding - 0:59 Wilderness of Stros M'Kai - 7:24 New Creatures - 10:02 Other New Assets and Details - 11:25 Interiors of Port Hunding - 14:51 Today for Morrowind Modding Showcases, we're taking an exclusive video premiere look at the new modding project, Abecean Isles by EJRS, which has been in development for the last 14 months with the stated goal of adding the islands of the Abecean Sea, like Stros M'Kai, Herne, and Cespar to the game-world of Morrowind. As of this alpha preview, a fair chunk of the island of Stros M'Kai has been finished, including much of the city of Port Hunding, with some 60 buildings, and over 30 interiors already available to check out. There's also tons of new assets, new creatures, NPCs, new dialogue, and much, much more to check out here. With the goal of providing a unique and original take on the culture and society of the Redguards, EJRS is planning to make the Abecean Isles as alien and original as the Dunmeri cultures of Morrowind, and already you can see a lot of that in this alpha preview. No doubt this is one of the most exciting new projects so far of 2019! Note: EJRS is looking for exterior developers and quest modders!
